Rajarshi Shahu College of Engineering, Buldana is located in Buldana city in the State of Maharashtra. It is a self-financing private institute of great repute and is run by Dwarka Bahu Uddeshiya Gramin Vikas Foundation, Buldana. It is recognized by the Government of Maharashtra and approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), New Delhi, and is affiliated to Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati. The institute provides education and training that maximizes the knowledge and skills, and makes the students capable of competing confidently in the global workspace.

Late Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj has opened the doors of education, not only in Kolhapur but through the state of Maharashtra with the nobel spirit of spreading the education among the masses; to free people from poverty and superstitions; to establish social and economic equality in society. The Trust adopted this name with a vision to develop engineers of high caliber, who could take up challenges of any type of an engineering job and make it a grand success, guided by originality and professionalism.

Maharashtra State

The State of Maharashtra is situated in the Western part of India, consisting of narrow Konkan Coast backed up by ranges of Sahyadri Hills of the Western Ghats and the Eastern part spreading over the Deccan Plateau. Geographical area of the state is over 3,00,000 square kilometers (area ranking third in India). Mumbai, the commercial Capital of India, is the Capital of the State; Gujrat, Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Goa are the immediate neighboring States.

Buldana District

Buldana district is located in the central portion of the State of Maharashtra. Akola, Washim, Jalgaon, Parbhani, Hingoli districts are the adjoining districts to the East, West, South respectively. Burhanpur district of the Madhya Pradesh is to the North. The district is mainly covered in Survey of India topographic sheet No. 55D/8 & partly in 46P and 65A. It lies between 1951' to 2117' North Latitude and 7557' to 7649' East Longitude.

There are a large number of historically important places like Lonar Crater, World famous heritage places like Ajanta Caves, Shree Sant Gajanan Maharaj Sansthan, Shegaon and numerous tourist places, Birthplace of Maa Jijau, Sindkhed Raja. Buldana City is a district headquarter in the State of Maharashtra. It is connected to all metro cities of the country by Roads. The climate of the Buldana district is generally dry and hot. Buldana town itself i.e. district headquarters has a comparatively cool weather and is considered to be the most pleasant place in the district.
